Procedural Compliance Self-Assessment Indicators 11, 13, and 15 Section 1 – Overview The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has developed a special education procedural compliance self-assessment for local educational agencies (LEAs). Annually, one fifth of the LEAs in Wisconsin are required to participate. This presentation includes the function of the Procedural Compliance Self-Assessment in DPI’s monitoring system; how LEAs are selected; and the appointment of an ad hoc self-assessment committee.
