Wisconsin Extended Grade Band Standards This webcast has been designed to provide training on the Wisconsin Extended Academic Content Standards and Performance Descriptors. The United States Department of Education (USDOE) requires students with significant cognitive disabilities to be assessed on alternate academic standards. Teachers will need to provide instruction on these alternate standards prior to the assessment of the WAA-SwD. This webcast will introduce teachers to the extended academic content standards and show how to incorporate them into daily classroom instruction.
